Kitsune is a Mythical Beast-type fruit built around blue fire and speed. It arrived in the Kitsune Event of December 2023 and has been near the top of the value list ever since. The transformation turns you into the nine-tailed fox from Japanese folklore, though the in-game model actually shows three tails normally and five when transformed, which has bothered people for years.
What makes Kitsune worth having is the passive package as much as the moves. You get a permanent speed boost that roughly doubles when transformed, the ability to walk on water, and a tail meter that fuels the transformation. Add aim-assisted attacks with generous hitboxes and you have a fruit that is forgiving to learn and genuinely strong once you know it.
The 640M vs 1.85B Gap
Physical Kitsune trades around 640M. Permanent Kitsune trades around 1.85B. That is close to three times, and it is the single most important thing to know before you accept any Kitsune offer.
Traders exploit this constantly. Someone says “Kitsune for your Kitsune” in a trade ad, both parties assume they mean the same thing, and one side loses 1.2B. The dealer stocks Kitsune for 8,000,000 Beli or 4,000 Robux. Beli gets you the physical fruit, Robux gets you the permanent. Kitsune shows up in stock rotation rarely, so if you are going the Beli route you will be checking back over several days.
2. Kitsune Shrine — Azure Embers
When the Blue Moon appears over the Third Sea, the Kitsune Shrine spawns on a small island. Offering Azure Embers there gives roughly a 0.1% chance at a physical Kitsune. That is one in a thousand. People do get it, and people also burn hundreds of embers and get nothing. Treat it as a side activity you do while playing anyway, not as a plan with an expected completion date.
3. Trading
For physical Kitsune, expect to assemble 600M to 680M in value. For permanent, you are looking at 1.75B to 1.95B. Kitsune Abilities & Full Moveset
Every Kitsune ability except the transformation can be held for up to twelve seconds, which gives you a lot of control over when things actually go off. Damaging enemies fills the tail meter, and the tail meter is what pays for transformation.
Accursed Enchantment
Throws a blue fireball that latches onto whatever it hits and burns over time. If it lands on the ground instead, it spreads into a small wave of fire with area damage. Neither outcome is wasted, which makes this the safest opener in the kit and the one you will use most while grinding.
Tails of Burning Agony
Fires a projectile that travels in a zig-zag toward the target, which makes it awkward to read and awkward to dodge. Used over water while transformed it drags both you and the target under, which sounds like a downside until you use it on someone running away on a Buddha or Dough build.
Fox Fire Disruption
A large blue fireball that bursts into spreading waves on impact. This is the biggest area move Kitsune has and the one that clears a quest pack in a single cast. It used to be called Tailed Beast Bomb, which is why older guides list a move you will not find in game.

Hold Your Moves
The twelve-second hold window is Kitsune’s most underused feature. Charge a move, wait for your opponent to commit to a dash, then release. Most players fire everything the instant the cooldown ends and wonder why nothing lands.
Fight Near Water
Transformed X over water drags your target under. Against Buddha, Dough, or anyone using water to escape, this turns a losing chase into a kill. Position fights near the shoreline when you can choose.
Build Tails Before You Need Them
Transformation runs on the tail meter and the meter fills from damage. Do not walk into a duel empty. Clear a couple of mobs first and you enter the fight with the option already available.
C Is Your Grinding Button
Fox Fire Disruption into a grouped pack clears faster than anything else Kitsune has. Pull mobs together, land it centrally, mop up with M1. This is the whole grinding loop.
Respect the Range Matchup
Kitsune loses to fruits that outrange it and stay away, particularly Dragon and Portal-style kits. Do not trade projectiles with them. Use F to close, transform for the speed, and make it a short fight.
Sea Events Are Its Weak Spot
