What Is Kitsune in Blox Fruits?

Kitsune is a Mythical Beast-type fruit built around blue fire and speed. It arrived in the Kitsune Event of December 2023 and has been near the top of the value list ever since. The transformation turns you into the nine-tailed fox from Japanese folklore, though the in-game model actually shows three tails normally and five when transformed, which has bothered people for years.

What makes Kitsune worth having is the passive package as much as the moves. You get a permanent speed boost that roughly doubles when transformed, the ability to walk on water, and a tail meter that fuels the transformation. Add aim-assisted attacks with generous hitboxes and you have a fruit that is forgiving to learn and genuinely strong once you know it.

The 640M vs 1.85B Gap

Physical Kitsune trades around 640M. Permanent Kitsune trades around 1.85B. That is close to three times, and it is the single most important thing to know before you accept any Kitsune offer.

Traders exploit this constantly. Someone says “Kitsune for your Kitsune” in a trade ad, both parties assume they mean the same thing, and one side loses 1.2B. Confirm in writing which version is on the table, then confirm again when the trade window opens. The trade calculator has separate entries for each for exactly this reason, and the dedicated Permanent Kitsune page covers that side of the market in full.

Where Kitsune Sits in the Market

Perm Kitsune is the reference item for the whole tier below Dragon. When people price a 2B trade, they usually price it in Kitsunes. That gives it liquidity most items at this value cannot match. You can move a Perm Kitsune in minutes, which is not true of a stack of Legendaries worth the same on paper.

📌 Kitsune sits in the top five by value and the top three by permanent value. Only the two Dragon variants and Leopard price above it. See the full value list for where everything else lands.

How to Get Kitsune in Blox Fruits 2026

1. Blox Fruit Dealer — 8M Beli or 4,000 Robux

The dealer stocks Kitsune for 8,000,000 Beli or 4,000 Robux. Beli gets you the physical fruit, Robux gets you the permanent. Kitsune shows up in stock rotation rarely, so if you are going the Beli route you will be checking back over several days.

2. Kitsune Shrine — Azure Embers

When the Blue Moon appears over the Third Sea, the Kitsune Shrine spawns on a small island. Offering Azure Embers there gives roughly a 0.1% chance at a physical Kitsune. That is one in a thousand. People do get it, and people also burn hundreds of embers and get nothing. Treat it as a side activity you do while playing anyway, not as a plan with an expected completion date.

3. Trading

For physical Kitsune, expect to assemble 600M to 680M in value. For permanent, you are looking at 1.75B to 1.95B. Perm Kitsune trades fast because so many people use it as their pricing reference, which cuts both ways: easy to move, and easy to find someone who will try to talk you into a bad number on it.

4. Natural Spawn

Kitsune spawns in the world at roughly Mythical rates. Rare enough that nobody should plan around it, common enough that it happens to someone every day.

⚠️ The Kitsune-specific scam: because the physical and permanent versions share a name and a 1.2B price gap, the most common scam on this fruit is simply not specifying which one. Ask directly, get the answer in text, and check the trade window before confirming. Full breakdown in the scam prevention guide.

Kitsune Abilities & Full Moveset

Every Kitsune ability except the transformation can be held for up to twelve seconds, which gives you a lot of control over when things actually go off. Damaging enemies fills the tail meter, and the tail meter is what pays for transformation.

Z

Accursed Enchantment

Throws a blue fireball that latches onto whatever it hits and burns over time. If it lands on the ground instead, it spreads into a small wave of fire with area damage. Neither outcome is wasted, which makes this the safest opener in the kit and the one you will use most while grinding.

Burn DoTHoldable 12s
X

Tails of Burning Agony

Fires a projectile that travels in a zig-zag toward the target, which makes it awkward to read and awkward to dodge. Used over water while transformed it drags both you and the target under, which sounds like a downside until you use it on someone running away on a Buddha or Dough build.

C

Fox Fire Disruption

A large blue fireball that bursts into spreading waves on impact. This is the biggest area move Kitsune has and the one that clears a quest pack in a single cast. It used to be called Tailed Beast Bomb, which is why older guides list a move you will not find in game.

V

Transformation

Become the Kitsune. Your speed boost doubles, you can walk on water, your attacks scale up, and one allied player can ride you. It costs tails from the meter, so you cannot hold it forever. Kitsune was the first Beast fruit in the game to let allies mount, which is still one of its nicer quality-of-life touches.

F

Wild Assault

Dash toward a target point, damaging everything caught along the way. Your gap-closer and your escape, depending on which direction you point it. It was called Swift Assault in the original sneak peek, another reason old guides and current menus disagree.

Gap CloserEscape Tool

Claw Chain

Fast claw attacks with tick damage. Lower per-hit than Buddha’s M1 but quick enough that the total holds up, and it keeps the tail meter filling between ability cooldowns. Do not neglect it while grinding.

Kitsune Tips — PvP and Grinding

TIP 01

Hold Your Moves

The twelve-second hold window is Kitsune’s most underused feature. Charge a move, wait for your opponent to commit to a dash, then release. Most players fire everything the instant the cooldown ends and wonder why nothing lands.

TIP 02

Fight Near Water

Transformed X over water drags your target under. Against Buddha, Dough, or anyone using water to escape, this turns a losing chase into a kill. Position fights near the shoreline when you can choose.

TIP 03

Build Tails Before You Need Them

Transformation runs on the tail meter and the meter fills from damage. Do not walk into a duel empty. Clear a couple of mobs first and you enter the fight with the option already available.

TIP 04

C Is Your Grinding Button

Fox Fire Disruption into a grouped pack clears faster than anything else Kitsune has. Pull mobs together, land it centrally, mop up with M1. This is the whole grinding loop.

TIP 05

Respect the Range Matchup

Kitsune loses to fruits that outrange it and stay away, particularly Dragon and Portal-style kits. Do not trade projectiles with them. Use F to close, transform for the speed, and make it a short fight.

TIP 06

Sea Events Are Its Weak Spot

Kitsune is excellent at grinding and merely fine at sea events and raid bosses, where single-target burst matters more than clear speed. If your account time goes into raids, Dragon East will serve you better.

Kitsune Performance Ratings

⚔️ PvP Rating: 9 / 10

Damage Output8.5
Mobility9.5
Hitbox Size9.5
Pressure & Uptime9.0
Survivability8.0

Large hitboxes plus aim assistance plus a doubled speed boost is a nasty combination, and it means Kitsune punishes mistakes harder than most fruits at this tier. It struggles specifically against long-range kits that refuse to engage. Against anything that wants to fight up close, it is one of the best in the game.

🌊 PvE / Grinding: 8.5 / 10

Mob Clearing9.5
Boss Damage7.5
Raid Performance7.5
Travel & Water10
Solo Grinding9.5

Grinding is where Kitsune earns its price. Water walking plus doubled speed removes most travel time, and Fox Fire Disruption handles packs cleanly. The scores drop on raids and sea events, where lower M1 damage and a lack of heavy single-target burst leave it behind Dragon and Buddha.

Kitsune Value History

DEC 2023
Kitsune Event launch
Kitsune arrived alongside the Fox Lamp, the Kitsune Shrine sea event, and the Blue Moon mechanic. It was immediately one of the most expensive fruits in the game.
2024
Second most valuable fruit
Through most of 2024 Kitsune sat directly behind Dragon on the value list, driven by strong grinding performance and PvP hitboxes that felt slightly unfair to fight against.
DEC 2024 – 2025
Pushed down by the Dragon rework
Update 24 created two Dragon variants above it, and Leopard’s rework later added a third. Kitsune did not lose value so much as get overtaken, settling into the top five rather than the top two.
2026 — CURRENT
Regular 640M · Permanent 1.85B
The permanent version has become the standard pricing reference for the tier under Dragon, which supports its value independently of how strong the fruit currently is. Trend is rising and demand sits at 9/10.
OUTLOOK
Slowly rising, unusually safe
Perm Kitsune is one of the more predictable holds in the game precisely because so many trades are priced against it. Even a gameplay nerf would likely dent it less than it would dent a comparable fruit, since its role as a trading unit is separate from its performance.

Best Trades for Kitsune

Every one of these assumes you have confirmed which version is being offered. Run the numbers in the trade calculator before agreeing.

Physical Kitsune (640M)

✓ W
Their Kilo Cannon (400M) + Perm Lightning (240M) + ~80M filler for your Physical Kitsune. Around 720M incoming, and the limited holds a hard value floor that will not drop on you.
⚖ FAIR
Their Dark Blade (350M) + Perm Dough (80M) + ~200M in Legendary physicals for your Physical Kitsune. Roughly 630M. Reasonable, slightly slower to move than what you gave up.
✕ L
Their Physical Lightning (90M) + Physical Dough (30M) + a pile of Rare fruits for your Physical Kitsune. This offer shows up constantly. The Rare tier is close to unsellable and the total rarely clears 400M once you check it properly.

Permanent Kitsune (1.85B)

✓ W
Their Regular Leopard (1.65B) + 300M in high-demand adds for your Perm Kitsune. Slight value gain and you pick up a top-three fruit. Good trade if you actually want to play Leopard.
⚖ FAIR
Their Permanent Leopard (1.69B) for your Perm Kitsune plus a small add. Both are elite permanents with strong liquidity. Comes down to whether you prefer air control or water traversal.
✕ L
Their Physical Kitsune (640M) for your Permanent Kitsune (1.85B). The defining Kitsune scam. Same name, same icon in a trade window at a glance, 1.2B difference. Always check the permanent tag.
✕ L
Their six or seven mid-tier permanents totalling “about 2B” for your Perm Kitsune. Even when the arithmetic works, you have swapped the most liquid item in its tier for seven items that each need a separate buyer.

Kitsune — Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kitsune worth in Blox Fruits 2026?+
Physical Kitsune trades at roughly 640M and Permanent Kitsune at around 1.85B, with 9/10 demand on both. That places it in the top five by overall value. Values are reviewed daily on our value list.
Why is Permanent Kitsune worth so much more than the regular?+
The permanent version never leaves your account no matter what else you eat, while the physical fruit disappears the moment you consume another. That difference alone supports a 2x to 5x premium across the whole game, and Kitsune sits at roughly 3x. It also helps that Perm Kitsune is the item most traders use as a pricing benchmark for the tier below Dragon, which keeps demand for it consistently high.
How much does Kitsune cost in-game?+
8,000,000 Beli for the physical fruit or 4,000 Robux for the permanent version, both from the Blox Fruit Dealer when it is in stock. There is also a roughly 0.1% chance of receiving a physical Kitsune by offering Azure Embers at the Kitsune Shrine, which spawns in the Third Sea during a Blue Moon.
Is Kitsune good for grinding?+
It is one of the best grinding fruits in the game. Fox Fire Disruption clears packs in a single cast, the doubled speed boost and water walking remove most travel time, and fast M1s with tick damage handle stragglers. Where it falls off is sea events and raid bosses, where lower single-target burst leaves it behind Dragon and Buddha.
Can Kitsune carry other players?+
Yes, one allied player can ride you while transformed. Kitsune was the first Beast fruit in Blox Fruits to allow this, with Dragon following later and carrying four or five depending on the variant. Combined with water walking it makes Kitsune a useful taxi for a duo running the Third Sea.
Is Kitsune better than Leopard?+
Leopard trades far higher, at 1.65B against 640M for the physical versions, but the gameplay gap is much smaller than the price gap. Leopard has better air control and a stronger dash. Kitsune has better sustained pressure, water traversal, and a more forgiving hitbox profile. The value difference is driven largely by scarcity rather than raw power.
What is the most common Kitsune scam?+
Someone offering “Kitsune” without specifying physical or permanent, then handing over the physical version while receiving your permanent. That single ambiguity is worth 1.2B. Ask explicitly, get the answer in chat, and verify the permanent tag in the trade window before you confirm. The scam guide covers the other common patterns.
