What Is the Permanent Dragon (East) in Blox Fruits?

The Permanent Dragon (East) is the Eastern variant of the Dragon fruit, kept in your account forever once you unlock it. Where Dragon West takes inspiration from European wyverns and focuses on PvP mobility, the Eastern form is modeled after Chinese mythical dragons. It has the largest transformed model in the entire game, and that size translates into bigger hitboxes, wider AoE, and faster raid clears.

It costs 5,000 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer, the same as the Western variant. When you buy the permanent version, you get the option to switch between East and West forms whenever you transform, so technically owning either gives you both. Most players who go specifically for East do it because they raid more than they PvP.

Why Raid Players Prefer Dragon East

If you’ve ever run a Floating Turtle raid with a Western Dragon and watched mobs spread out across two platforms, you know the pain. Eastern Dragon’s size means your roar covers both platforms in one hit. Same goes for Order Raids and the Awakening dungeon.

The Eastern transformed model is the largest in the game. Bigger model, bigger move hitboxes. M1 combo extensions hit further. Ground slams have a wider radius. It is the simplest possible upgrade to your raid clear time.

AoE moves trade slightly less direct damage for more spread. Where Dragon West shoots a focused beam, East fires a wider firestorm. Single-target DPS is similar, but multi-target damage favors East noticeably.

The hybrid form’s Fury drain is slower than West. This is the part most guides miss. Eastern hybrid form burns less Fury per second, which means longer transformations and more uptime on raids. A small thing on paper. A massive thing during a 4-stage boss fight.

📌 Quick fact: Eastern Dragon is supposed to be the ruler of seas and bodies of water in Chinese mythology, but the Blox Fruits version uses fire just like Dragon West. The dev team kept the visual identity but unified the elemental damage type for balance reasons.

How to Get the Permanent Dragon (East)

There is no way to grind your way into a permanent Dragon East. The only paths are paying, trading, or claiming through a special event token.

1. Buy It From the Blox Fruit Dealer

The Dealer NPC sells Permanent Dragon for 5,000 Robux. When you click purchase, the game prompts you to choose East or West. Pick East if you raid more than you PvP. The good news with the permanent version is that this choice is not actually locked — you can swap between East and West whenever you transform. So even if you choose West, you can use East later.

2. Trade for It

Trading is how most players get it without spending Robux. Demand sits at 10/10, so finding someone willing to part with one is the hard step. Expect to offer 10B+ in total value, usually as a stack of high-tier permanents or one Permanent Dragon West with a refund. Always run the math through our Blox Fruits trade calculator before agreeing — at this value tier, a small mistake is hundreds of millions in lost value.

3. Permanent Dragon Token (Special Events)

When the dev team reworked Dragon in late 2024, players who held the original Permanent Dragon got Permanent Dragon Tokens. These could be redeemed for either East or West. Tokens are not currently dropping in normal gameplay, but they sometimes return during anniversary events or compensation patches. Keep an eye on the official game page when major updates drop.

⚠️ Scam warning: Anyone offering you a “free Permanent Dragon East” through a generator, glitch, or third-party site is running a scam. Permanents only come through Robux, trades, or in-game tokens — never through external links. Read our full Blox Fruits scam guide if you’re new to trading.

Dragon East Abilities & Moveset

Dragon East unlocks at 350 mastery. The moveset overlaps with Dragon West but each move has a wider, slower hitbox tuned for crowd control instead of dueling. Here is every move, what it does, and how it differs from the Western version.

Base Form Moves

M1 / LMB

Claw Slash Combo

Three quick claw strikes with a fire trail. Same animation as West but the third hit has a slightly larger explosive radius. Best move for filling Fury Meter fast.

~1,358 per hit
Z

Heatwave Cannon

Fires a long-range fire beam from your mouth. The Eastern version has a slightly wider beam but shorter max range than West. Better against grouped enemies, weaker for sniping.

~4,083 (full charge)
X

Infernal Pincer

Dash, grab, slam. The Eastern version sticks the opponent to the ground with a heavier slam at the end, leaving residual fire. Strong combo finisher in PvP and a reliable mob-stunner in PvE.

~4,100 + burn
C

Imperial Roll

Forward roll with fire trail and explosion on impact. Wider hitbox than West but slower roll speed. Great for closing on multiple enemies at once. Players have been asking for stun on this move for over a year.

~4,480 on impact
V

Imperial Evolution (Hybrid)

Activates the dragon-human hybrid form. M1 chains extend to 5 hits, all moves get +30% range and damage, and you take 60% less damage. Eastern hybrid drains Fury slower than Western, which means longer transformations.

+30% damage / -60% taken
F

Draconic Soar (Flight)

Free flight with a fire dive impact. Eastern Dragon flight is slower than West but turns sharper, which makes it better for dogfighting bosses than chasing players. Drains Fury while active.

~3,297 dive damage

Full Dragon Form Moves

Z

Volcanic Roar

Massive fire blast with the largest AoE radius of any Z-move in the game. The Eastern version covers a wider arc than West because of the bigger transformed model. Best move for clearing waves in raids.

~6,516 fully charged
X

Searing Wing Slash

Two fire-trail wing slashes. Eastern version pushes a wider arc with slightly less knockback. Great for crowd control and chaining into Z-move follow-ups.

~4,480 on impact
C

Scorching Downfall

Aerial move that creates a flame sphere raining explosive projectiles, ending in a massive central blast. Eastern Scorching Downfall has a wider rain radius — perfect for boss arenas where the boss moves a lot.

~9,145 if fully landed
V

Revert to Human Form

Ends the transformation early. Useful before Fury runs out so you keep some meter for your next fight. Same on East and West.

No damage

Awakening Cost & What You Get

Awakening Dragon East costs the same fragments as the Western variant. You buy the upgrades from the Awakening Hall in the Third Sea, which you access by clearing the Order Raid.

Fragment Cost Per Move

Total awakening sits at around 18,500 fragments. Approximate breakdown:

Heatwave Cannon — 2,500 fragments
Infernal Pincer — 3,000 fragments
Imperial Roll — 3,500 fragments
Volcanic Roar — 4,000 fragments
Searing Wing Slash — 4,500 fragments
Strong Hair / Saddle — 5,000 fragments (lets you carry up to 4 teammates on your back during flight)

Fragments come from raid clears, with each clear giving roughly 750–1,500 fragments. Realistically you are looking at 15–25 raids for a full awakening.

Should You Awaken Dragon East First?

Here is the honest take. If your goal is to grind raids efficiently, Dragon East awakened is the fastest tool in the game once you have it. But getting there is the hard part — you grind raids with an unawakened Dragon East to awaken Dragon East, which is slow.

The smarter play for most people is awakening Buddha first, using awakened Buddha to carry yourself through raids fast, then dumping fragments into Dragon East as your second priority. If you already own awakened Buddha (or any other awakened raid fruit), going straight to Dragon East is fine. Read our full awakening guide for the order most players follow.

Performance Ratings — PvP, PvE & Raids

⚔️ PvP Rating: 8 / 10

Damage Output8.5
Mobility7.5
Combo Potential8.0
Aerial Combat7.0

Solid in PvP but plays second fiddle to West. Wider hitboxes help against Cyborg or Kitsune users who try to sidestep. The lack of stun on C-move is the long-running weakness — most pros stack Dragon East with Sharkman Karate or Death Step to fill the stun gap.

🌊 PvE / Raids: 10 / 10

Mob Clearing10
Boss Damage9.5
Sea Events9.5
Solo Grinding9.0

This is where Dragon East shines. The Eastern transformed model is the largest hitbox in the game, which trivializes mob waves in raids. Volcanic Roar covers entire Order Raid platforms in a single cast. Pair it with Saddle and you have the best 5-man raid carrier the game has ever had.

Dragon East vs Dragon West — Head-to-Head Comparison

This is the question every Dragon buyer asks. Here is the side-by-side breakdown so you can pick correctly. Remember that with the permanent version, you can switch between East and West freely — but most players settle into one as their main.

Best Trades for Permanent Dragon East

At 10.5B value, Dragon East trades happen often but rarely cleanly. Here are the offer types you should target — and the bait offers you should walk away from.

Trades to Accept

✓ W
Their Perm Kitsune + Perm Leopard + Perm Yeti + Perm Buddha for your Perm Dragon East. Total value lands around 10.8B+ — diversified inventory plus a small profit.
⚖ FAIR
Their Perm Kitsune + Perm Yeti + Perm Gas for your Perm Dragon East. Roughly equal value (~10.3B) with three solid permanents in exchange for one mega.
✓ W
Their Perm Dragon West for your Perm Dragon East + 1.5B add-on. You move up to the top permanent in the game with a small fee. Solid for PvP-leaning players.
⚖ FAIR
Their Perm Leopard + Perm Buddha + Perm Spirit + Perm Control for your Perm Dragon East. About 10.5B total. Great if you want raid-focused diversity over a single mega.

Trades to Refuse

✕ L
Their Physical Dragon East (2.75B) + 7B in physical fruits for your Permanent. Permanents and physicals trade in different markets. Never swap a permanent for a stack of physicals at “equal value” because the perm holds its worth and physicals decay.
✕ L
Their Perm Kitsune alone for your Perm Dragon East. Kitsune sits around 1.8B. This is roughly 8.7B short. Common scam offer aimed at new traders.
✕ L
Their 5+ low-tier permanents like Perm Light, Perm Phoenix, Perm Magma, Perm Quake, Perm Ice totalling around 7B for your Perm Dragon East. Bundling looks fair on paper but loses you re-trade liquidity.
✕ L
Their Perm Buddha + Limited Werewolf for your Perm Dragon East. Limited race items can’t be traded freely after acceptance, so the value you receive is locked. Avoid unless you specifically want that race.

📌 Trader’s rule: For any single Perm Dragon East trade, never accept more than 4 items in return. Bundling smaller items always favors the other side because each piece is harder to re-trade later. Run every offer through our trade calculator first to confirm the math.

Permanent Dragon East — Value History & Trend

Understanding where the price has moved helps you predict where it is going. Here is the timeline since the Update 24 split.

DEC 2024 — Update 24 Rework
Dragon split into East & West permanent variants
Original Permanent Dragons converted to Tokens, then players got to choose East or West. Initial Perm Dragon East value sat around 7B as the market figured out which variant traders preferred.
FEB – APR 2025
Stabilized at 8.5B
Players settled into raid teams and Eastern Dragon’s mob-clearing dominance pushed demand up. The gap between East and West widened slightly because PvP players bought West first.
SEP 2025
Climb to 9.8B during raid meta peak
A new raid was added that favored AoE damage. Dragon East demand spiked overnight and traders started overpaying to secure copies. Value crossed 9B for the first time and held.
JAN – APR 2026
Stabilized at 10.5B
Value has held steady through 2026 with no nerfs and consistent raid demand. Most traders now treat 10.5B as the floor price, with overpays going up to 11B during high-activity weekends.
FORECAST
Stable with upward potential
If the developers add stun to Imperial Roll (the long-requested buff), expect a quick value spike up to around 11.5B. A new raid release usually pushes Eastern Dragon up another 5–10%. Downside risk only really comes from a balance nerf, which is not currently signaled.

Permanent Dragon East — Frequently Asked Questions

What is Permanent Dragon East worth in Blox Fruits 2026?+
As of April 2026, Permanent Dragon East is worth approximately 10.5B in community trade value. It sits just below Permanent Dragon West (12B) but holds a 10/10 demand score because raid players consistently look for it. Check our full value list before any major trade for the latest numbers.
Is Permanent Dragon East better than Permanent Dragon West?+
It depends on what you do. Dragon East is better for raids, grinding, and PvE because the transformed model is the largest in the game and the AoE moves clear waves faster. Dragon West is better for PvP because of faster flight and longer-range Heatwave Cannon. With the permanent version, you can switch between East and West freely after purchase, so the question is mostly which moveset you prefer day-to-day. Read the full East vs West comparison above.
How do I get a Permanent Dragon East for free?+
There is no free method. The only ways are: buying from the Blox Fruit Dealer for 5,000 Robux and selecting East at checkout, trading for one from another player, or claiming through a Permanent Dragon Token during a special event. Anyone offering a “free Perm Dragon East” through a third-party site or generator is running a scam. See our scam guide for safety tips.
Why is Perm Dragon East cheaper than Perm Dragon West?+
The gap is small but it exists for one main reason: PvP players are the larger spending group in the trading market, and they prefer West for its mobility. Dragon East absolutely dominates PvE, but fewer high-value traders prioritize raid utility over PvP performance. This pushes East about 1.5B below West in average market value.
Can I trade my Perm Dragon East for multiple smaller fruits?+
You can, but it is rarely a good move. Bundling 5–6 smaller permanents in exchange for a Perm Dragon East loses you re-trade liquidity over time. Single mega-permanents are easier to move than stacks of mid-tier fruits. If you do split, never accept more than 4 items in return and confirm the math through our trade calculator first.
What is the demand score for Permanent Dragon East?+
Permanent Dragon East has a demand score of 10/10. Raid runners and PvE-focused players consistently look for it because nothing else in the game clears mob waves as fast. This makes it one of the most liquid permanent fruits to trade — listings typically get serious offers within an hour.
Will Permanent Dragon East go up in value during 2026?+
Most traders expect it to stay stable through mid-2026 with slight upward pressure. The biggest potential catalyst is a stun buff to Imperial Roll, which players have been asking for over a year. If that happens, expect a quick spike to around 11.5B. New raid content also tends to push Eastern Dragon up another 5–10% temporarily.
How long does it take to awaken Permanent Dragon East?+
Full awakening costs around 18,500 fragments, which means roughly 15–25 raid clears. With a consistent raid team running daily, most players awaken Dragon East in 2–3 weeks. Solo players or those without an awakened Buddha for raid grinding should expect closer to a month.
Is the East variant good in PvP at all?+
Yes, just not as good as West. Dragon East still hits 8/10 PvP rating thanks to wider hitboxes and slower Fury drain. Most pros pair it with a stun-heavy fighting style like Sharkman Karate or Death Step to fill the gap left by C-move’s lack of stun. Against grouped opponents or teamfights, Eastern Dragon actually outperforms West because the AoE is wider.
